Das AAL Forum (Active and Assisted Living) gilt als die grösste europäische Plattform für die AAL-Gemeinschaft und findet bereits zum 8. Mal statt: am 26.-28. September 2016 in St. Gallen. Das Thema des diesjährigen Forums lautet Ageing well with technology – Innovations ready for breakthrough. Die FHS St. Gallen ist Mitorganisator des AAL Forums.

“The AAL Forum is the annual showcase event for people involved in the AAL Programme’s projects, which aim to enhance the quality of life of older adults while strengthening the industrial base in Europe through the use of ICT. Each year, it brings together policy makers, health professionals, commissioners, carers and, of course, older adults, to come and see the latest developments in this exciting area of research.”

Im Rahmen des diesjährigen AAL Forums wird erstmals der Smart Ageing Prize vergeben. Interaktive Workshops sollen den Austausch innerhalb der AAL Community unterstützen.

Weiterhin werden ein Matchmaking Event sowie ein ein Hackathon  veranstaltet.
