Die Gebert Rüf Stiftung hat zusammen mit swissnexx san francisco und mit Unterstützung des Staatssekretariats für Bildung und Forschung SBF das Programm “Swiss Academia and the Social Media Landscape” gestartet, mit dem Schweizer Hochschulen für Social Media fit gemacht werden sollen.

Das Programm wurde am 7. Dezember 2010 angekündigt. Am 14. April 2011 wurde das Programm nun gestartet. Nachdem eine zugehörige LinkedIn Gruppe schon länger besteht, wurde nun die Website socialmediaswitzerland.org incl. Blog gelaunched. Weiterhin ist das Programm via Twitter @SwissEdSocial und Facebook in den Social Media aktiv. Der Kick Off ist für den 24. Mai 2011 geplant.

Aus der Ankündigung:

“Over the next 21 months, the nearly 30 participating Swiss institutions will have access to research, online and in-person trainings, monitoring reports, and much more to help them make the most of social media. In May, 2011, the swissnex San Francisco team will hold a social media kickoff event in Switzerland, and in late September, a Bay Area study tour.”

Die FHS St. Gallen wird sich aktiv an dem Programm beteiligen.
